JBMI are pleased to announce that they are working with Brunel University to improve the reclamation rate of aluminium furnace residues.

JBMI are to collaborate with Birmingham University on EPSRC funded project

Jesse Brough Metals, together with the both Brunel and Birmingham Universities, have been successful in securing funding from both the EPSRC and DTI in order to carry out research into total recycling of aluminium dross.

Jesse Brough Metals Group was presented with a Smart Foresight Award at a ceremony held at Earls Court London on 28th June 2000 in recognition of 'outstanding and far-sighted innovation'.

On October 25th 2000, Professor David Bellamy presented JBM managers with a certificate to confirm the Company's Bronze level Corporate Membership of the Staffordshire Wildlife Trust.

JBMI has won £200,000 support from the UK government DTI Recycling Programme for a new £500,000 research project designed to produce added value chemicals from metallurgical waste. JBM is again working with the Centre for Environmental Research at Brunel University and sister company Plasmet UK Ltd.
