Commissioned in early 2008, the alternative raw materials plant (ARM) represents an innovative activity of JBM International Ltd.

Using state-of-the-art technology, a variety of wastes including foundry sands, waste alumina, waste powders, filter cake, lime and slags can be blended in set proportions to meet stringent product specifications for the aggregates & cement industry.

These products are used to create alternative and efficient building materials, replacing virgin quarry material, and help to reduce the impact of material being sent to landfill sites and hazardous waste disposal each year. Furthermore it allows cement to be manufactured in a CO₂ neutral manner.
