Aluminum dross is passed over a high velocity impactor that crushes the
dross and liberates the aluminium from the aluminium oxides. The metal
and oxides are then separated using classifiers and eddy current
magnetic technology.
The aluminium metallics are refined,
alloyed and cast into internationally specified ingots to be sold on
the international market.

The oxides are further sorted, classified
and chemically tested to ascertain their specifications. They are then
blended and mixed into powder metallurgical products.
Funding
from the DTI and the Engineering and Physical Science Research Council
has supported the company's goal to achieve zero waste from the
recycling process.
Research and development continues to
develop low cost and low capital intensive technology to enable
aluminium foundries worldwide to purchase the relevant plant and
equipment to carry out these processes on their own sites.
