Trading as Plasmet (UK) Ltd our Powder Metallurgy division is a specialised downstream activity that has been developed by the Group. Our processes look to recycle all of the oxides, by-products and other wastes generated by industry.
Black and white dross arising from primary and secondary aluminium smelting is processed to produce metallurgical powder products, ranging in size from 100 microns to 1.8 millimetres, and with aluminium content of 10-90%. These powders are mixed, homogenised and classified into saleable commodities for use in foundry applications, steelworks, construction, aggregates and ceramics industries.
